I have returned back to model building after a 20+ year layoff. I notice all the great builds here and the helpful tips from you fellow model builder tubers. I hope one day I can be as talented as you builders. This is an awesome hobby!

Looks good – just the “Night lightning” was gloss black and carried no rockets. They had a rocket tree but the role was a night interceptor.
I’m building right now the same model just slightly bigger 1/5 scale. End of August after the maiden flight I will post a clip here on Utube

    Oh boy – I liked it :)
I did enjoy the outcome of it…

And unlike BasicModelling, I don’t have a soft spot for the P-38, but I liked this…..!!!

Thanks for the shout, by the way.. Nice to see you’ve taken up the hobby again! :) Glad to know I may have had a small part in that.. :)

Restoring partially built kits and make them better is an art.. :) You sure did well with this one.. I have a soft spot for the P-38, especially when it comes with the rockets under the wings..

I have an Academy P-38 as well as the Revell P-38 to build, both in 1/72.. The Revell kit is the old Monogram kit and will be built as a 2-seat Night Fighter version.. :)
